Can you salvage the stock exhaust when putting an aftermarket exhaust on? I just read on the Borla install page that you have to cut it. I'd like to keep the stock exhaust just incase or if I sell. I regret that in the past I've thrown out stock parts for whatever(car,Bike,sled) and wish I could have put it back. I'd like to get the Borla in the spring and was just wondering.

My old muffler is in my trunk right now
They can always put your old one back on, so don't worry if they chop it off.
Yeah, I asked if I could keep mine, they looked at me a little weird, but whatever. It's sitting in the basement now.

I still have mine, but it is in 3 pieces (to fit it in my car) and it is sitting in my storage locker in the basement. Collecting dust....
The guys at the shop just asked if I wanted to keep it or not and I said yeah, they didn't look at me weird or anything....
My car is a lease and when its up in case I turn it back in I want to still have my SLP to sell/keep!
