I have a problem with scratches on both drivers and passenger side windows...I took this to the dealer and they said that this is due to the fact that I have tint on the windows...they claim that the tint is too thick. Now will the thickness of the tint have anything to do with this??? I have read of other people having this problem...this is very aggervating and I would like to know if it is caused by the tint or a defect.

Check out this TSB: http://www.grandamgt.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=468
It's a problem common on GAs and your dealer should fix it for free if your warranty is still valid.
A few people even got their dealers to pay to have the windows retinted after changing them but unfortunately you don't seem to have a very cooperative dealership. Maybe you should look at going somewhere else in your area...

I had scratches on my back two passenger windows on the OUTSIDE and took it in under warranty when I had my 2002 Grand AM GT before it was repurchased under the lemon law. I specifically pointed these scratches out to the service guy and I even made him feel them on the OUTSIDE on the outside of the window. The service guy said it was my tint on my window that was scratched. That was a bunch of BS because the tint is on the INSIDE, not the OUTSIDE where the scratches are on the window.

i am getting both my front windows replaced under warranty as well...the back two aren't that bad. You really can't notice the scratched until you get your windows tinted, but a friend of mine has the scratches with no tint.
