Okay I know that there is a 10+ page of how to override DRLs. I skimmed through them to see if I could find what I'm looking for.... to much content. Its overwhelming.
So here is my question. I have my DRL relay pulled. I works good. No DRLS during the day.. At Night HL come on auto. When I shut my car off Lights stay on for about 10 seconds. If I do the DRL override will it get rid of this.

That's an ALS thing.. Headlights stay on when the car thinks it is night time.

Or when you turn your car off then use your headlight switch and turn it to the on position then off right away. It overrides the courtesy delay and turns them off.

correct when you remove your key... Thanks Sic I'm gonna try that out. Just Run a jump wire from one hole to the other to complete the circuit right???? This will take care of my problem?

Okay so I tryed it out this weekend.. Yah it is a PITA. Yep.. I Dropped the sensor behind the dash. WTF!!!! It worked great, but I did get a SES light. Is it because I have the DRL Relay pulled? I didn't think the relay would have anything to do with it, but now that I'm bored at work I'm wondering......

the ga's bcm senses if the drl's are operating and if not you get a SVS. Did you notice if one of your headlights are not working with the relay removed? Go check it out!

w/ relay removed its fine.. however drls still come on at night, and when I turn the car off. I pulled the sensor and put in a jumper wire. That when I got the horrid SVS Light.

i did it with the drl override [not removing the relay, but grounding the wire from the bcm] and i dont get any ses/svs or messed up headlights. and it works on SE and GT. i think i actually got an SVS the 1st couple days... something i did made it go away. maybe try unhooking your battery so it relearns? im not positive but i think that is what i did.. after a few days it was gone.

Unhook battery = SVS remains
Put Relay back in = DRL ON... no full conrtol
Take relay back out .. pops out in engine bay = many four letter words and a good 45 mins to find and get out.

When all is said and done......... :duh:

Well I have successfully read through the entire 17 pages of the how to section.. I now have a very large headache...however I do have the knowledge to insert the 10 ohm resistor. I'm goin to the shack on the way home.. fingers are crossed.
