i want to get new springs for my 99 GT but i dont want to lower the height of the car. i live on a dirt road and already bottom out when i hit big bumps. if anyone knows of any good springs they wanna suggest give a holla.

I have Eibach springs on and my car hits fewer things with the lowering springs than with the stock springs. Crazy as it sounds, I guess the Eibachs have less give so they dont let the car dip as much.

Yep, they are progressive rate springs. The lower your car dips the stronger they react to hold it up... (they decompress better than the stockers).

They are intended to provide more support over the stocks b/c they are lower. Now if you are hitting the ruts in the road because the road is uneven, then you are SOL... ...Lower looks soooooo much better though!!! (But I haven't done it myself yet:rolleyes: )

Hmmmm. Maybe a lift kit would be in order????:D

thanks
another reason i dont want the lowering os because ,y drive way is at a horrible angle and incline. and unless im like parrell to the road i scrape when i pull out of the garage. but ill look into my options. any other springs besides the Eibachs thats are good performers?

The Eibachs will lower the car, but not as much as the H&Rs. I think an alternative could be stiffer shocks? They may help in reducing the bounce. A good guy to PM on this is Suspension Guru "mfuller."

Could you tell us what he has to say? Cause my car bottoms out more than I want it to.
