Well, i just got a 97 grand am gt. What bodykits are available for the 96-98 series? I've seen the *** kit and it's awesome but it's alot of $$. I know most of you have 99+ models but hopefully ya'll could help me out. Will appreciate links to were i can see pics of the kits. Also i've found nice looking reverse gauges for my car
http://www.procarparts.com/store-list2.asp?makerID=27&modelID=160&year=1997&cat=3&sub=37

but it says in the specs it's for manual transmission, i have auto, does it make a difference? it 'seems' the same. Thanx for help

Andy's auto sport (http://www.andysautosport.com/Bodykits/pontiac_96grandamkits.html) makes a kit for your generation. I don't think there's much of a difference between manual and auto gauges beyond a shift light but I could be wrong.

Just remembered that FXDesigns (www.fxdesigns.com) also have a front and rear faschia but they don't have any side skirts available.

you can get gauges from speedhut.com as well, and they have auto/manual options

we only got the three listed above.

www.andysautosport.com

Thanx for the gauges link sweet98gagt ... exactly what i was looking for. It's much more expensive but it's worth.
Also thanx for summing up the kits available... i already saw them all but i just thought we had more :(
In case anyone is intrested the kit from fxdesign.com is the same from extremedimensions.com but extreme has it for $300 (just the front and back seperate) and fx has it for 28 dollars more.

Sorry to revive an old thread but I found some kits. BTW, yeah I updated my cardomain and added my system, though I may change my amp soon.

Vision Auto Dynamics (http://www.visionautodynamics.com)

This site actually has 2 kits for the 96-98 Grand Am: the Blits and the Invader
Both kits run for 1,200 with all 4 peices.

I love the blits front, it's beautiful. Also, the Invader is the same kit shown on FXDesigns (http://www.fxdesigns.com)

These are advertized in Sport Compact Car, so it's not like our style grand am is totally off the market :boogie:

yeah i guess your right, but in my defense, i never said they were 'new', i just said i found some......and the names threw me off. How can it be aas on one site and blits on another? Is that legal?

Yeah, theyre all the same. Andys has the best prices ive found... My qeustion is tho, does anyone know how these fit? I know they say you get what you pay for, but these are our only options. I ordered the vader today and I'm hoping it goes on allright or im screwed outta $.

like ****

as far as kits go... the original name of that kit was the Blitz kit... why its called something different is beyond me cause its still a blitz kit for any car, just w/ a diff grill
