Just bought my mother-in-laws 99 Grand Am GT 4 door. 14,000 miles, garaged cream puff. I'm psyched! It will replace my wifes '99 Jeep Cherokee. I discovered this site while searching for subtle performance / handling mods that I can do to "enhance" the car without wife catching on. Picking it up in Florida soon.

do yourself a favor and sell it before it depreciates anymore then buy something better.

Ok, I picked up the car in Florida on Friday August 20. My father in law had replaced the windshield wipers and installed the new super white headlights for me. The oil had been changed 2 days before and the tank was full. I was on my way. I made the trip back to RI in time for my sonís birthday party on Sunday. Maybe itís because Iím used to driving 4x4 pickups and SUVs but when I started driving it I was immediately impressed with its fantastic braking and handling. I was also pleased to see that itís a ram air car with the H/O badges on the front fenders, dual tips on each side dual exhaust, nice 5 spoke alloy wheels and huge 4 wheel disc brakes. The ultimate highway ride from mid Florida to Rhode Island was pretty nice. The car rides well and handles great. visibility was awesome (except that the rear spoiler hampers visibility while backing up) and the car moves right along and revs up strong. I like it a lot. I can certainly see why people are enthused about this car.

its only a single exhaust
nice 5 spoke alloy wheels and huge 4 wheel disc brakes.
if the rotors havent been warped yet, they will, its a problem with the grand ams, so dont get too excited just yet.
