View Full Version : HOWTO : Custom 2-Gauge pod in the cubby under AC controls

(hopefully I'll get everything this time around)

Materials:

Bondo / Fiber glass resin, take your pick. I used bondo for this.

Autometer 2-gauge panel, Part # ATM-2237 at summit.

Dremel, Wooden dowels, hot glue gun, sand paper, paint, etc... you get the point.

The basic process is this: Use the wooden dowels to make a "frame" for the panel. Once you have a frame holding it in place, body fill in all of the gaps, sand down, paint, and install!!

Yeah the "frame" from the dowels was just temporary.. need something to hold that bondo up while it cures. It's rock solid now tho..

edit: that picture with all the "shiny" stuff, that's just a bit of packing tape.. gotta have something there temporarily so all the bondo doesn't fall through. just pick it off when you are done.
