well i've been in and out a lot lately. really busy working. just wanted to see how some of my old friends are doing. oh yeah, i bought a new truck too since i've been off of here. i now have an '04 Silverado SS! that's right guys, an SS. it's awsome and i love it. the best thing i've owned yet. we'll all have to get together sometime soon before winter hits. hope to hear from some of you soon. hope all is well. later.

I'm still here, just not in my Alero or my Neon. My wife has the 1999 Tahoe and I have a 1988 Mustang GT 5.0. I got sick of playing around with anything that has less then 8 cylinders.

actually everything is good with it minus some minor trans slippage. I have a t3/t4 sitting on the floor along with lots of other parts. but i decided i dont want to spend 3500 on a transmission to hold the power it will make.

That neon sounds kinda fast, maybe we will have to meet up sometime and race when I get the new car. But dont let anyone know too much yet.... I should be picking it up thursday or friday this week.

Nice pick Jason... I was looking at an SRT-4 for awhile along with a WRX. Is PIR still open? better take that there before it close for the year. I'm still waiting for someone to buy my car :( That way I can get a new ride also.

Import/sport compact drags at woodburn october 2nd, gonna go there with a few srt-4 guys around here, hopefully I can squeeze out 13.8 with just a k&n cone and a boost controller set at 16 pounds.

Jodee has about 6 months left on her car loan so hopefully we'll have something by then. Whatever we pick up it will go in her's and her mom's name since that way we can keep the oregon's registration and avoid the sales tax ;) That should knock off about $30-$40 in monthly payments right there.

yeah no ****, tax cost me around 2200. WA state auto sales tax is now at 9.1% they bending us over lol. If you want wayne you can stop by sometime and get a look at it.

The SS comes with the 6.0 right? same as the Denali? I wonder why the SS comes with 20 more hp and 20 more ft lbs of twist?

Maybe we should get a track date going for next year with all of us now finding decently powered vehicles. Hopefully I can get a nice set of tires and get rid of my Costco Mastercrafts and get some better ones. Myabe some more goodies too.

I bet the SS has more power due to either a compression change, maybe slightly tweaked heads or a free flowing exhaust.

The stock SRT-4's comes with 205/50/17 on BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW 2. They are pretty decent tires IMO.

the denali just has the basic 6.0L which gmc rates at 335hp and 375 tourqe. i have the 6.0L high output. it's kinda wierd though. chevy rates their basic 6.0L at 300hp and 345 tourqe. i thought that was pretty diff from gmc. but like ghetto said, it could just be an engine mod. i'm looking at getting a whole lot of goodies for x-mas to hopefully put my baby up to or over 500 hp N/A. so i'll keep you all informed. late.

p.s. and no i haven't me a lightning.........yet! :whistle:

im still alive here!!! and so is the WRX uppipe and downpipe are sitting on the floor next to me. the downpipe is HUGE!!! 3" donwpipe + 1.5" seperate wastegate port that merges into the downpipe! all I need now is my catback and ill have uppipe + turboback exhaust. get the ecu flashed and it will be somewhere around 285hp. ill post some pics for you guys later...

Still here.... I was considering going to PA and picking up the Honda to see what I can get for a trade in. I have to get the dent taken care of first.

Russ, I was considering a WRX for my next car, but since I've been seeing the Accord coupe more and more, it's starting to grow on me. The V6 6 speed is around the same price range as the WRX and it's a Honda :D So looks like I have some catching up to do.
