GXP SHOW CAR IS THE ULTIMATE IN GRAND AM PERFORMANCE

Pontiac designed the Grand Am to deliver driving excitement with room for everyday life. The Grand Am GXP show car boosts this excitement to a new level with a special exterior appearance and outstanding power and handling that reinforces Pontiac's position as GM's performance division.

The Grand Am bears the special GXP colors with its unique Shadow Black tri-coat color scheme, front and rear fascia, fog lamps, rocker panel extensions, and rear deck spoiler. It was shown for the first time at the 2002 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show and is a harbinger of Pontiac's future direction.

Equipped with a supercharged 3.4-liter V-6, the Grand Am GXP show car delivers 275 hp to the wheels through its solid Hydra-Matic 4T65-E automatic transmission with a floor-mounted shifter for a full performance feel.

Designed with a lowered ride height for a strong wheel-to-body relationship, the Grand Am GXP show car is equipped with performance-tuned suspension components, GXP specific 18-inch forged aluminum wheels and Bridgestone Potenza RE730 tires. Larger diameter, high-performance front and rear disc brakes with red heat-resistant ceramic coated calipers, and production-based performance exhaust system also are included in the GXP performance package.

Additional attributes include a GXP specific instrument panel treatment, metal-look interior trim bezels, GXP specific aluminum design foot pedal covers and unique GXP performance series exterior badging.
