Awww, c'mon! You mean you're not going to attach any $10 foglight housings under your bumper with wood screws?! I guess we'll have to leave that quality home-built stuff to guys with 82 Chevy Cheyannes with 4 different tires. Btw, your b/u lights look great! Keep up the good work:D

Are the 912's the bulbs in the brake light assembly, or the seperate, wussy foglight type back-up lights?

Maybe I had a bad experience...
I cannot see jacksquat with the APC Hyperwhites I installed in my headlights. I mean, literally if the distance with the halogens were 100 feet (just estimating) then my hyperwhites were 60 feet. I mean I was literally driving with my head over the steering wheel, watching the ground trying to make sure I don't run over something! They look beautiful, but i'm a little sketchy about going to Xenons again, unless they literally will see farther and illuminate better. From people driving ahead of me, they said that they looked blue, which is quite possibly a reason I couldn't see. How the heck are you supposed to see when things glow blue in the dark? Maybe if I got PIAA platinum whites?
And you know what HID system has been driving me insane lately? Honda S2000. Theres this one cruising around town lately at night, and everytime, that light beam changes color, angle, brightness, everything. I HATE IT!! Phew..okay frustration gone..:p

I agree about the brightness. I have yet to find a pair of Xenon lights that are brighter than standard halogens. Yes, they look great but I just find it hard to believe that any Xenon light with the same wattage as a standard bulb would be brighter. I mean, if you have two 55w bulbs, one with clear glass and one with blue glass, of course the clear glass bulb will shine brighter. I have been through a number of sets of Xenon bulbs and none have been brighter than standard halogens. Napa has bulbs called Brite Lites (standard headlight; not xenon). They are 5 watts brighter (low & high beams) than a standard halogen and they have been the best headlights I've ever had.

Very true Mike. Then again, maybe our eyes just suck? LOL. No, there is a reason that manufacturer's have been putting halogens in cars for so long now. The human eye can see better with halogen or the yellowish color. Plus everything on the road is made to illuminate with the halogen. I dunno, either I heard that somewhere, or i'm pullin it out of my azz but thats what i think lol.

Yeah, you're probably right. Although, I have seen a few "all-weather" halogens that are yellow. I've wondered how those would work or if they would provide any better visibility. I know most people on here hate "yellow" lights but I'm all about being able to see on the road. And if that's what it takes, then I'm all for it. I think I'm going to put some 85w bulbs in my Blazer 3200's here soon. I already get flashed as it is so I'm sure it will be worse then. But at least I'll be able to see good
