Yeah, no kidding. I'm disgusted because I don't think the EPA would allow GM to shove those lovelies into the engine bay.

Pontaic most likely will produce a car like that, the Pontaic GP with the 4.3L-4.4L V-8 that will make more than 280hp. Yes the hp # is low but the mod. possibilities will take care of that. Plus, whats even more interesting is the fact that the above mentioned V-8 would fit in a next gen. GA is really hair raising especially IF GM makes a AWD version of the car. Drop it in and watch it fly.:)

Unfortunatly will get just a V-6, but who cares about a low hp V-8 when the 3.6L V-6 makes more than a current s/ced GAGT? Time will tell.

Hmm, are those engine mounted for FWD?? It looks like it. If so I want to know how the hell they got LS1s and a tranny to mount up for FWD. Maybe it is just the Chevy cover that is throwing me off here?? LS1 FWD would be gay anyway, and I dunno if the AWD weight would be worth it either.

If you look closely you can tell those are LS-1's in there.

If you scroll down some you see a LT-1 in a Fiero and if you think the #'s are off, man drop one in your own Fiero (if you feel like buying one ?_?) and find out first hand. Loads of fun if you have the spare cash and time, its like driving a 2400lb go-kart. Down right wicked to say the least and nobody expects it.

Hope they create a AWD version too. That would get rid of the torque steer that is always a problem with FWD cars with a good amount of hp. That is pretty much the only thing I don't like about FWD cars is the darn torque steer you get.

Dunno, sometimes I feel like I'm missing out on some easy donut fun too :), plus I think more could be done to strenghthen the tranny with RWD. Making a tranny really strong, compact enough to fit in FWD form, and making it affordible is just too hard for an OEM to do with current technology.

The problem is that the platform the next gen. GA is on is FWD platform (I think?) so converting it to a rear drive only would be hard. Personally I would like to see a RWD GA but thats not going to happen, and learning the hard way about torque steer with my 1999 Z24 the had a turbo made me realize the problems with high power FWD cars, meaning they are a pain in the a** to race (not street race) thats why the ideal sports car is either AWD or RWD.

I'm sure since your are into the Honda V-tec engine and compact cars in general (I'm only guessing because of your name) that you noticed that problem with high powered FD'ers. By the way, didn't you say in a earlier thread that you thought 300+hp FWD cars were gay~don't take that as a mean reuse of a comment, just was curious to where you stand on the subject. I don't mind high hp fwd cars just the fact that fwd cars are a pain to drive when they have that much power fed to them.

Well, my name is sorta sarcastic. It also says I am a "GA Hater" which I am not - but I like to cause controversy. Mainly the reason I have the "VTECSi" part is that I see little Honda boys on all kinds of forums with names like "Honda****" or "VTEC***" or "Si***" or "TypeR***" etc. and so I just wanted to make fun of them.

Anyway, yes, powerful FWD cars are lame because when u take off with a lot of power, weight naturally shifts to the back, so with FWD ur gonna spend a good chunk of ur modding change on forcing those front wheels down by making the suspension stiff, throwing on HUGE front wheel tires (which looks really rediculous) and raising the back end, not to mention that u'll still get torque steer.
