You wouldn't happen to have an updated TSB showing the 2001 model year would you?

even though it doesn't say it, it does apply to the 2001 model. My car is a 2001 and had no problem getting warranty service for this.

What kind of turnaround time did you have? I would hate to have my car sit in the body shop for too long. My dealer contracts out their work (to a very good shop though). I have heard a lot of good things about the shop, and had a rocker panel replaced on mine when it was new. It had a scrape from the transport truck I assume.

I scheduled a rotate + balance for 8 AM, and I told the body shop guys to go grab the mirrors while it was in for service. Done by 3:30 PM.

Cool.. So not even a complete day. Think I will go sometime this week if I have time.

I hate that chalky look.

I would assume so if every other color gets painted mirrors besides black.

I realize I am resurrecting an old thread, but I just wanted the locals to know that I took my '02 in to Howard Pontiac in Elmhurst, they painted the mirrors on my car (under warranty). The mirrors look much better now!

Unfortunately, I did have to confront the service manager with this TSB, as GM has issued a new TSB for this problem, and the "correction" is to polish the mirrors (which only lasts a couple of months before the mirrors turn chalky again).
