Anyone that says tinting front windows is hard (not the windshield) has no sense of skill. Just the other day, I got bored and tinted my moms front windows. By the 3rd try, it looked like I had it done at a shop. The process is real simple, it just takes a little time.
Tools: Credit card - rubber squeegee- utility knife - bright plug in light - spray bottle with soapy water, rubber spatula
-Start by cleaning your windows really good.
-Plug the light in - aim it at your window
-Roll the window down as little as possible so that u can fit the razor through into the interior.
-Now place tint on the outside of the window (with the glue cover plastic on)
-Push the tint under the weather stripping with the credit card and cut down inside of this. Only cut the top and sides, and leave a good 2-3 inches on the bottom
-Put a piece of Saran wrap on the inside over the top part of the door panel if you have cloth because the tint will attract lint onto it
-Now peel the backing off and spray the tint with soapy water
-Place the tint on the inside of the window and sqeeggee out the bubbles and flatten it.
-Re-cut the tint at the top if needed
-Now roll up the window and using a kitchen spatchula push the extra tint into the door panal.
-Push out the bubbles again-
-Now drop the window a little so you can make sure the top is still stuck on the window
-With the small bumps that won't go away on the sides stick a credit card in there wrapped with paper towel to push the damn thing flat, and leave it like this for a few hours
-Now take the knife and place at a angle on the top border of the window, and cut the tint again, this will leave a small small gap so the weather stripping won't grab the tint
-Let it dry and push out any bubbles you missed the next day
TIPS
-Use Gila ULTRA SHIELD tint only, not any other Gila tint
-Don't push hard with the credit card, you will scratch the tint
-Spray tint ASAP after you peal the plastic off of it
-Don't give up if you mess up once, it take a few tries. But once you get it down, its easy as putting on your seatbelt
