Lockout switch on trunk latch

What does this switch do?? I'm shaving my key hole and wing and would like to know if I'm screwed if I hit this switch.

The swith makes it so when its "on" that you have to open the trunk with the key instead of opening it with the keyless entry or the button inside the car

YES! It locks out the power trunk release.
