I had my 99 GAGT in park the other day, and I pressed the gas on accident as I was reaching for something in the backseat. Well, I noticed that the engine sounded like it had air or something in the lines b/c it started sputter around 4000 RPMs.
I never do that, but seeing that it was an accident, it brought it to my attention.
So now whenever I press the gas while in park, it starts to sputter out like the engine is keeping itself from going over 4000 RPM.
My question is, does the GA GTs have this as a little safety thing so you can't redline it while in park, or could this be problem?
When I drive the car, everything is in tip top shape so I'm kinda confused about all of this.
If anyone here knows what it is, then I can figure out if I'm gonna take it to a mechanic or not.

Thanks.

I thought it had something to do with the car limiting something down when it drove fine.
Just better to be safe than sorry, ya know?

Thank you.
