well i have had my slp exhaust for about 2 months now. the drone wasnt that bad at first, but now it is getting to me. long trips really suck and the drone is killing my ears. what can i do to get rid of this drone? would a magnaflow muffler get rid of the drone? does the magnaflow muffler bolt right in place of the slp? i want to use the slp tips, will they work with the muffler? what part number is the mag muff? thanx

Get a sub and turn up the volume on your radio.. That'll fix most of it. =p

I know that dynomax mufflers are pretty quiet. I don't have any part # info for you, but I'm sure you could find out which one you need at the muffler shop. They will be able to look at it and tell you which one will fit. It should just be a direct replacement [Cut out the old muffler, weld in the new].

SLP is the loudest available for GA. You should expect it. I am used to it. Plus it helps if you crank up your music.

Dynomax Turbomuffler on my GA... pretty tame. No drone compared to an SLP. I'm going the other way, SLP catback is going on in about 2 weeks. Hope I can handle the drone.

I dunno, considering all the comments that I get from other drivers, I can sacrifise drone. The other day, I messed around with a GSX and he said my exhaust sounds "healthy". He also said, "What have you NOT done to your car?" I never expected to hear that from a fast import driver.

what is dynamat?

It's a sound dampening material you can line the inside of your car with. It conforms like carpet. They have different products that can dampen sub rattle, engine noise, road noise, exhaust, etc.

I'm sure it wouldn't have been suggested if it didn't work, and yes, you have to take apart your interior and install it. Not hard as long as you know how everything comes apart. There are how to's on this site for that.

Try welding a resonator in your system if there already isn't one.
