Hi Guys,

I was wondering id any of you know if the battery rundown protection feature is built into the AC Delco Batt. or if it's a feature within the car, like the BCM? If I were to go with a diff. brand, would I lose the protection?

Im pretty sure its in the bcm. It turns off the lights if you happen to leave them on for 20 minutes and the radio too.

See I took my car (2001 GA SE 2.4L) to an electrical shop that just specializes in alternators and the electronic stuff in cars. I've been having this drain on my car for over a year and I finally broke down and took it in because I was sick of having to jump my car every morning. Anyways, they check the alternator and it's fine as well as the charging system, also have ac delco battery, but they find a 1/2 amp drain coming from Fuse 2 under the hood which is the BCM fuse - the drain is on that circuit anyways. Any suggestions as to what might be on that circuit that's killing my car every night?

Just the stock one. I have an aftermarket amp but the breaker is thrown so the amp doesn't get power anyways.
