Hi, I need to replace the bulb that lights the back of the tach gauge. By searching this site i have found that its a bulb that is in a special socket. My question is some say that its a 194 bulb others that its a 168(same base but lower wattage). Both of these can be purchased at napa with the socket part number PC194 or PC168. Does anyone know which is the right one, i dont want the bulb to be too bright or too dim.
well, i dont now if this will answer your question but it should be 194. thats what ive gotten from all that i have read. i dont really remember reading anything about a 168. also, while your at it you could upgrade to LED's if you wanted to.

hi, Just replaced the bulb. For future reference the correct bulb sizes are pc194 and pc74 both available at napa. The pc74 are used for the highbeam, turn signals and the 3-5k range on the tach. The pc194 are used for the rest. Hope this helps.
glad everything worked out
