I did mine and it actually wasn't that bad it took like an hour from start until i finished cleaning up the shop. Coupe is right you don't need any silicone or anything.

You dont need any silicone, the T-stat comes with a gasket built onto it.

If you can't find the how-to.. the bottom nut is slotted, you don't have to take it out all the way.
Enjoy :)

It was easy when we did it, but of course it was easy when ya dont have an exhuast manifold in your way.

Im trying to avoid that (exhaust manifold removal).. So the bottom nut needs only to be loosened.. Thanks Seth

With the t-stat...... You know how the part that sticks towards the drivers fender, Did yall install it where the metal was straight up or parallel with the ground. I put mine in straight it and i am thinking that is my problem with the car getting warm. HHMM
Anyone know anything about that?
I know it seems hard to understand but once you look at the STAT you will see what i am talking about.

Ok I'm planning on replacing my thermostat with the 180 thermostat this weekend, and I have a question. I looked at those instructions but they dont make a whole lotta sense to me. Where exactly is the thermostat located? I am not at all mechanically inclined...well maybe a little bit.

You sure you wanna do this on your own?
Look under your TB area, you cant miss it.

lol. Yes I want to do this on my own. Cheaper then getting someone else to do it. So I have to remove the TB to get at it?

No you dont have to remove it.
Its just a tight fit trying to get to it.
