A special thanks to everyone that showed up. It was actually a pretty good turn for Houston that is. We were expecting a 60-70 degree day but it was closer to 50 and breezy. I was the only idiot that wore shorts, like to have froze my arse off. Pics follow:

man if u wanna drop ur car u basicly have to buy a whole new suspension, so be ready to spend around a grand.

Well all you really need is the springs, but your ride will be ****ty. A lot of people recommend buying brand new struts so that the ride is not so stiff. Even then, you wont have the stock feel anymore.

Be prepared to ride real rough, no struts specifically made to work w/ a drop for the grand ams :(

Ross, I have H&R. they were around 200. I opted to purchase new front struts. they were 55 apiece. an aligment will cost you between 40-70 bucks. You do not need new struts. I'm running stockers in the rear. A lot of people run stockers after a drop. Now the camber can be off in the rear with a drop like mine and tj's. in the case of both of us it is. A lot of people go with eibach. You could safely drop your car with eibach, do the labor your self and pay for a aligment and only after to drop $300. now if you want to replace your stock struts you can get the spring struts for 200 shipped for a set of 4, about 40-60 bucks cheaper than KYB. All struts made for our cars are pretty much the same meaning they are all meant to ride at stock hieght. but as fausto said no matter much you spend on the suspension your ride will be more stiff. I mean you will feel every bump. If i'm down in BMT soon, I'll give you a call and take you for a ride in my car. that way you can see the difference
