this truck is gonna have a lot of potential. it shares the engine with the 2002 escalade and there is an sc out for it soo... bye bye lightning. oh btw the ss supposedly will hang with a stock lightning until 60 mph or so.

I don't know... as much as I hate fords... I think the lightning has the SS beat on looks... Just loose the extended cab you idiots, put some flashy rims on it, have the rocker pannels a little more incorporated, and you might do OK. Right now, Chevy is too frikin scared to stray from the vehicle with "Family Possibilities"... dammit...
[edit] FORD = ****ed On Race Day... figure out the *'s :D

Exactly! Now that is something I would buy... how could anyone take an extended-cab sport truck seriously? But manual steering? I wonder how many women you'll see behind the wheel of those...

well then i guess it will make a good "sleeper" then. well let me put it this way
2003 ford lightning curb weight 4,670
2003 chevy silverado ss curb weight 5,013
now add an sc to the ss which as of now has 345 hp to the lightning's 380. that should more than make up for the added weight the ss has. :D

well, they were saying that the curb weight of the "regular" cab with manual steering was something like 4100 lbs!!

Yeah 500 lbs less and 15 more hp will make up for the lack of a supercharger torque curve I'd think. Plus it looks badass, reminds me of the 454SS but would stomp a 454SS into the ground stock to stock.
