View Full Version : 93 Grand AM GT Question
Hey I just got 2 Arospeed 4 x 10" mini bomb mufflers in and was wondering how much an estimate of the removal and welding of new muffler will be... Also Anyone know where to get a Trunk Battery Mount for a 93 Grand AM GT? I need this to help mod my 96 civic cold air intake to fit right..

Well, it's not as simple as welding new mufflers onto the existing pipes. Take a look under the car... you'll see the muffler on the drivers side is much larger. The midpipe enters up front, but a second pipe exits and runs to the passenger side muffler. A shop will have to fabricate a Y-pipe and pipes running to each side. Because of this, installation cost can vary widely. I would guestimate $125-200. Possibly more, depending on labor rates and how well they can deal with Y-pipes.
If you have the Quad 4, I would consider another muffler choice, for sound and loudness reasons. Almost anything will sound fine on a 3.3 V6 tho. I won't comment on looks tho.
www.summitracing.com has battery relocation kits.
