my side mirror!

I posted this somewhere else as well but wasn't sure how many replies I would get! My husband was washing my car and he knocked the side view mirror off....... so I am going to fix it myself since he hasn't done anything to fix it...... what should I use and where should I get it???? :)

What is broken on it? Plastic? Bolts?

Ebay is your friend when it comes to that. Replaced mine on my 99 for less than $20.00.

Well, I don't think that anything is broke but all of the sticky stuff is gone and the "foam" came off of the back......

The mirror is held on to the door with 3 or 4 screws...if the mirror came off and you don't see those screws, they are probably still in the door and the base to the mirror is broken. You are going to need a whole new mirror assembly.

Ummm....washing it. He was drying it and he hit it with his elbow really hard.... I was so upset. I think I do need a new mirror assembly cause the plastic is broken... I took it to a part store and they showed me where it was broke but it is like $77 for a new mirror... I think I am going to check e-bay or something! My husband insists that it can be fixed with some type of plastic weld or something... I don't know....all I know is that I feel like a retard driving down the road with no mirror on that side!! lol

Yes "Pontiac" but you have been saying that since Sunday and now that it is raining today, you will have yet another excuse.... You know good and well that if it was your car, you would have had it fixed the same day so don't start!!

Did that with my mirror i got really tired of reaplying that sh!t every week or so. new mirror best bet, like i said ebay is ur friend!!

Yeah I looked on E-bay.....$34 for a new one plus shipping... So I am contemplating.... I will let "pontiac" do his thing first and then I'll make friends with E-bay!
