What kinda times does an SC on an otherwise stock 3400 run? and what does a stock 3400 GAGT run? my lighter 3100 will run a 16.0-16.1 stock which i think is compareable to your cars... thanx for you info

STOCK - GAGT, 15.5 to 15.9 ((Factory Freaks/Unusally fast 15.3))

It obviously depends on the type of blower. But I would say the stock, without exhaust or intake on a 3400 Magnacharger would be about a 14.9 @ 90.xx, on the average GAGT (factory freak may be a lot better). I realize that this is very close to my time and KmanGT1's latest time. The reason it is close, is because of difficulty wringing all the power out of the cars after heavier modification.

Why?
Traction off the line is the biggest issue, and the torque would be greater with stock exhuast/intake. But mastering the launch would reveal a solid 60' but at the topend you would sag compared to having a high flow CAI/Exh.

Also the SC is in desperate need of a DHP program to harness its potential and to make this power more cohesive with the transmission and the fuel tables/delivery.

Once we have a chip/program, this car will really fly, and the ability for complete manipulation of the pulleys and other typical boost mods will be there, and be effective.

With DHP, CAI, Exh, Headers - The Magna Charger kit is capable of a sub-14.5 elapsed time, and should approach 96MPH in trap speed.

first of all... does this mean the average GAGT runs a 15.9 with freaks to 15.5 or are there a lot of stock GAGT's running 15.5's? second, how much boost does the Magnuson SC run? third, why is there tuning issues with it? doesn't it come with a ECU reprogram like the RSM kit??

1. Stock GAGT's run 15.5-15.9...freaks run 15.3.
2. I believe the boost is 5-6pounds.
3. The car wasn't made to be sc'd. No it doesn't come with an ecu reprogram, plus the rsm reprogram isn't that great from what I've heard.

i realise that the car wasn't made to be SC'd, but you can swap the 1 BAR MAP (Manifold Absolute Presure) sensor for a 2 BAR version, and then reprogram the ECU to allow that the outputs for presures are now cut in half... it'd be tricky doing the actual reprogramming of this chip but if you gave me a list of the stock tables i could work it out for you... :) it's all stoiciometricaly balanced, so no worries... without the reprogram you'll never really get the car running right... everytime your mani got over 1 ATM presure, your computer would have a hairy.. :)
