I have a 01 grand am gt and over the last couple of days ive developed a bad vibration in the steering when i get over 80km/h it shouldnt be the balancing of the tires if it only does it at higher speeds so does anybody know what it could be?

when that happened to me it was because my caliper was sticking..

check all your lugnuts, make sure they are torqued properly to the right torque and the right way as well... sometimes its just simple things

I would keep in mind the tire balance, I had a tire out of balance and slightly out of round that only wobbled at 45MPH to 65mph otherwise at other speeds it did not wobble. Only did it to a noticable extent when I put that tire on the front wheels. It was a low toned shimmy or shake, if that is what you mean by "vibration"

That is exactly when you will feel an off balance tire... Higher speeds..
