Possible Fuel Sending Unit Problem???

I have a 2000 GA GT Sedan. My fuel gauge tends to move around a lot when driving. One time I'll look down and it's half full twenty minutes later it's at the quarter mark. Then, if I shut it off and then on again it usually goes back to the original mark. Also, when I come to a quick stop, while idling the car will surge and then almost die. It will do this for a minute or two. I think it's from the movement of the fuel in the tank. I think once the movement quits so does my problem. This will also happen when I take off very quickly from a stop. Any ideas????? Like I said, I think it's the Fuel Sending Unit. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ive seen that needle thing. Mine did that in my 94 Gt. It also does that in my 93 Cavi. It also did it in my friends 94 GTP. I dont think the gas issue has anything to do with the stall problem. The Cavi used to do that until i just added more tranny fluid. Good luck.
