I tried that combo....all it got me was an extremely lean condition, massive multiple misfires, and inlet air temps of well above 100 degrees F (on a 30 degree day)!

Not the only one Matt. I run really lean w/stock fuel tables w/2.4" pulley. Major pick-up with these pulleys though Javier. At sea level you are near 8psi, the 2.4" places me near 9.5-10lbs I suppose.
Matt, sorry to hear about the car. I know the frustrations, it took a LOT of time and effort to get the SC in my biatch. Anyone who says it is easy to install is full of shi+ or works for NASA. Your next car will treat ya better, but hell - she was always the handler not a straight liner!;)

If that wasn't bad enough, even with my ASE chip and the 2.5", I was still lean....although with the 2.8 and the ASE she ran very rich (like 10:1 A/F).
Took the SC off tonight in 90 minutes flat. Uninstalling it was so much easier....and my car is much happier now (even with a stock airbox and TB). That and I don't miss the extra 50lbs in the nose (it sucked for handling....yes, I could tell a difference).

Ok, I'm new to the whole Pulley thing, so I was just wondering, are ya'll talking about an underdrive pulley, or does it just pertain to your damn superchargers? (I'm a little jealous, can you tell?)
A friend was talking to me about a company, I think the name is ASP Racing, that specializes in pulleys, I'm thinking about having them do one for me. Anyone heard of them?

I think most people need to get their A/F tables straight first...:D And matt... whats going on with the SC? I missed something... you selling it?

Long story....but it's already off the car and sold. I think I posted elsewhere on the board how much my car hated it....PM me if you want details.

I must be the only one that doesn't have problems with the 2.5" SC pulley. Lucky, I guess.

I assume you were using 92 octane fuel right Matt? If so it's strange that you would be having problems. I would suspect the ASE chip was to blame. As for handling, the extra weight can be balanced by moving the battery to the trunk like I did. Made a big difference. Oh well, I guess it's too late if you already got rid of the SC.:(
Someone mentioned an air to water intercooler. In reply, this has already been discussed at great length. Either type of intercooler (IC) would do great things for the SC kit, but the problem is both require re-routing of the air from the SC outlet to the IC before entering the intake manifold. The placement of the cast inlet and outlet on the SC leaves no room for this. It is possible, but would require cutting, re-design, and welding of the castings. That would be an expensive thing to do. It would also raise the power potential of the SC so much it would require upgrades to the engine, transmission, and fuel system. No one has been able to put that kind of money into their GA yet.

No 92 in Rockford, so I used 93. I did try with the 2.8 and the stock PCM calibration, and while it cured some of my misfires, I still had a lean condition. Yes, the fuel pressure regulator was working.... My car is just weird.
It's okay.....I'll still be fast in the turns....
