(Obviously) I'm an Alero 3.4 guy and I'm looking at some HID's or Xenons for my next upgrade. I'm just a little iffy as to whether or not I want the OEM replacement Hyper Whites or if a conversion is necessary. Any help that you guys can give on what's required for a conversion and is it really worth it would be great. I'm looking to replace my driving lamps, low beams, and then putting on yellow fogs.

those fake HID replacement lookalike lights are not really brighter at all. and in many cases are actually dimmer than the stock bulbs and all they do is give you a bluish tint. now the Catz ZETA system www.fet-usa.com is a very nice and less expensive conversion. it actually has ballasts that puts more power to the bulbs...their bulbs of course....and make them 170% brighter than stock. this is around 200 to 300 bucks i believe. BUT it is no HID. it is the closest thing to it. true HID is very bright and well worth the money. i know there alota companies out there selling it including www.AmericanPerformanceofColorado.com ........for the price compared to what it use to be $1500 they are worth it now. many companies make true HID now and thats why the price has went down considerably.

Thanks for the help. I'm lookin' at those as an early christmas present for myself. It's completely worth it. Since the installation doesn't sound too difficult either it is definitely worthwhile. Now all I have to do is find the right size fogs. There's a whole different problem.
