Hello all, one of my headlights blew out recently for the first time since I had the car, so I decided I would switch to SilverStars. I used the instructions that you guys had up here which worked awesome but to my surprise not one but both headlight retaining rings were broken already before I even took the bulbs out of the lights. So now I need to replace these. Does anyone know a good site for these?? I checked a few but couldnt find the retaining ring, just the bulbs and/or the whole headlight. Maybe I should just go down to the dealer. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Guys! :metal:

I believe you can get one at the dealer fairly cheap.

One of mine broke when I put my Silverstars in...went to my local Pontiac dealer... in stock and around $11 if I remember correctly.

Really, at the dealer where I bought mine they told me the one with the 3 fragile tabs is the new design. The one on my driver's side headlight is the better design that you couldn't break if you tried.

Anyone tried using a headlight O-ring for 9004 bulbs?? The base is almost the same, don't see why it wouldn't fit. They are only ~$4 at Pep Boys.

should work, the 9004 and 9007 bulbs are the same, the difference is the wattage of the bulbs. I think the 9004 are brighter. The harnesses are the exact same and interchange. I work at Autozone and we don't stock the slim style that the GA's have, just a longer one that wouldn't fit. I bought one for my drivers side at the dealer for $11 and went later to buy another for a buddy's GA in my work uniform and they sold it for $7...guess they thought it was for resale or something, i'm not complaining
