Hi All, I just had my tires replaced today and decided to get the new GoodYear Triple Tread performance tires. They seem to be a really slick tire, rated really well and still have the stiff sporty feel that I liked about the RS-A's.

I was just curious if anyone else has tried these yet? They just started a deal at Discount Tire to get $40 off on a set of 4. Tires are still damn expensive though for my tastes, but I liked the look and feel of these.

The Kuhmos are -really- sticky so don't expect more than 15 - 20k out of the treads.

The triple treads look nice, I was considering them to replace my eagle HP's but price is still a factor. I'm currently leaning towards the Potenza G009, deent price, looks like a nice tire from the specs.

Yes, Trancer - they do, compared to alot of the replacement tires on the market at the typical stores for our cars. I am not comparing them to high end sports tires by any means. But compared to Pirelli, etc...yes.

I drove the triple treads in the rain this morning and had some fun with them.
Nice grip during accel, decel and hard cornering.

Stick with the G009s...those are a great tire. For me personally, on my GP I went with a 225/55/17 Continental ContiTouringContact when I upgraded my wheels. They're OEM on a 3 series and the G6 GTs...I can see why. WAY better handling than the crap Eagle LSs the car came with, with a smoother ride and less noise despite the shorter sidewall! Go figure...

I just got a set of these about two weeks ago. I like them so far, they were a little more expensive than what I wanted to spend, but you can't argure with an 80,000 mile warranty
