Well, when your cars driving, its using the alternator to get its power so check and see what kinda voltage its getting while the cars running. I think 13.x volts is what it should be at idle, then like 14.7 under load... I think.

What kinda signs do you think is making you think your alts going? You should be able to change it yourself if your somewhat inclined. Its not hard at all, I did mine in like 30 minutes.
Plus stock isnt 160amps, its like 105 or 120, forgot. I got mine for 125 at autozone

Your volts will be lower than 13VDC if you just started the car. It takes a while to recharge the battery. Check the voltage after it's been running a half hour or if possible, while you're driving around.

Put your meter on the passenger seat and check at the cigarette lighter. Pull over first.

Way to listen to all of the posts in the other thread.

Take it to Autozone and have them run a test.
