Factory sound problems...

I don't know what the deal is..... I am using the factory deck, about 6 months ago the volume knob would not turn down (ie when you turn the knob the volume did not decrease unless the knob way bent down)

The deck was replaced, but last week it started to do a simmilar thing but it is for turning the volume up, again if you bend the knob it will work but....am I just that lucky? or do these deck have problems.

I've had two replacement units (replaced under warranty because CDs skipped a lot) and all three have had this volume knob problem to some degree. My car is now out of warranty and the problem on the current unit isn't terrible so I've just learned to live with it.

I too had similar problems when i first got my car, i did notice that every unit they used to replace the problem was a remanufactured unit, hhhmmmmmmmmmm...........
