Well, I'll be traveling up into the great beyond wednesday morning... :D I'm heading to RSM to have my supercharger installed and to pick up some XXX at the duty free shop

I was just wondering if there's anything in particular I should watch out for... like, has it been snowing much near Toronto? I still have my Nittos on my car, and well, they're definately not snow tires... Anyone know the weather report?

[edit] Noooooooooo! I just figured out how to check the weather in Canada (it was complicated... not used to it :) ) and it looks like its supposed to START snowing when I'm expected in and its not supposed to STOP until I leave on Friday. AHhh! dammit. Take a look:stupid cold weather (http://www.weather.com/outlook/travel/local/CAXX0504?letter=T&logssearchwhere=canada&logssearchwhat=WeatherLocalUndeclared)

Just remember, NO radar detectors. Seatbelts, and you are usually good for going 20 over on the highways. Gimme a call!

20 over?!? Oh crap, is that Km/hr? I hope my speedo has that on there... damn Canada and their metric system (j/k :D ) Actually, being a scientist, I should say damn US and their retarded "english system"...

Anyways, how close to RSM are you?

Offical weather forcast for Toronto at: http://weatheroffice.ec.gc.ca/scripts/citygen.pl?client=ECCDN_e&city=YYZ

No snow in Toronto at the moment; but be careful when the road looks wet (or below freezing)...the city's snow plow & salt truck services are NOT at full strength until Dec. 1 (saving money contacting at a later date, only at like 1/4 staff strength). There have been people spinning out on the highways with black ice since Nov. 1 (epecially early in the morning, when it is the coldest).
You should put on at least some 'all-season' rubber before heading up here.
The part from the US border to Toronto can get sometimes bad for driving very quickly (slow down as needed for weather conditions).

While your here, don't forget to try some real beer

Bring Canadian dollar bills (or use your credit card); as anyone accepting US $ will be at a ripe-off exchange rate.

Note: No carrying/packing of weapons while in Canada.

Well, thats not going to happen... I think I'll just leave a little early and take my time... thanks for the "heads up"... honestly, I've been through some of the WORST blizzard conditions in a car with practically BALD tires... been there, done that... I'll just take it easy... I went to school in Western New York in the "snow belt" for 4 years... I'm a seasoned veteran

Yeah, but XXX is horsep¡ss. If you're going to buy some strong beer, skip the nasty stuff and get Labatt Maximum Ice. It's just as strong but not as nasty tasting as the Mols.... Wait, I'm not going to finish that. lol You know which brand I mean. :D

I work around the corner from RSM (abOOt a 5 min drive)
As I look out the window you will be glad to know there is NO SNOW, and the weather says it will be fricking cold with not even 1 cm of snow...nothing too crazy.
I know Frank isn't working Wednesdays, but I'm sure the guys will keep you company. Are you hanging out there the whole time?
:D

I hope you have Autotap or something to reset codes that the RSM charger will give you
it would suck to drive all the way back to Toronto for them to reset it for you everytime

Oh, and dont expect them to help you after the fact. Check out the mid-western Ontario Better Business site:

RSM is a good bunch of guys. If you have any problems no doubt they're glad to help...it's what business is all abOOt- and through personal experience. Whenever I would go in they were always super nice.

As for the BBB link..yeah, we've seen it before. It could have been anything- maybe even someone who likes to stir up...poop- who knows. People always have personal issues with certain
companies so you must take everything with a grain of salt.

Irate has obviously have been corresponding with RSM (and/or Frank re: his s/c) and have his own (good) opinion abOOt them or he wouldn't be driving all the way JUST to have a s/c thrown in. Am I not correct?

People are always bashing on RSM (or other companies) meanwhile I'm sure at least 80% of them have never dealt with the company. *shrug* I guess that's what society is now...
:D

Well, its thursday night... I get to pick up my car tomorrow! I can't wait...

As for RSM, the guys there have been very helpful, constantly keeping me updated of concerns arising during the install via my cell phone. They've been very up-front, informative, and cheerful... Dave and Nelson (two of the techs) seem extremely knowledgable about what they're doing and of the OBDII computer... I don't have any concerns at this point. I'll give y'all an update and some photos in the modification section some time this weekend under something like "My RSM experience" or something...
