Alright this may be a dumb question but I am having problems changing the belt. I can get the tensioner off but there is a engine mount right the in way and the belt is around it. At least it looks like an engine mount, it may just be there to help reduce vibration. Anyway can I take this off safely or is there something I am missing? Its a 2000 SE with the 3.4L V6

take off the 2 bolts on the engine mount, put a block of wood on your jack and jack up the engine by the oil pan enough to slip the belt through.
If you have a front STB you'll have to undo that on the pass side or the alt. will hit it when you jack up the engine
also, if you havnt picked up a haynes manual, id get one, $15.
