We just purchased a 97 Grand Am GT. Pretty nice car other than a few problems. The moonroof doesn't engage. I can hear the motor running, but it doesn't move. Also it is popped up a bit, so I'm sure it will leak. How do I get to the mechanism?? I'm assuming it's under the headliner, do I just pull it down?? I'm thinking something is off. But if anyone knows of a common problems I would appreciate the help...

The next fix is the passenger window. It is a little bit off on the track. When it is all the way up, there is a small gap near the top rear of the car. How do I pull the door panel off to fix this?? I'm guessing once I get the door panel off it should be pretty easy to adjust. I just don't want to break anything. I am used to working on Dodges, so GMs are a little new to me.

Any help on these 2 issues are appreciated.

Thanks for the reading. Very informative... The window sounds easy. The moonroof I am a little worried about. It seems that the headliner just pulls down. Must be some type of snap that holds it in. Any helpful tips on taking down the headliner?? Thanks again..
