Just curious, where did "Grand Am" originate from? It seems like an odd name to pull out of the air...

then you have Grand Prix, Trans AMerican...anybody else noticing the pattern? now the G6...that one broke the mold, there's an old thread on here somewhere as to what the name G6 means.

does the gt stand for grand touring/ or grand turismo. the se for standard edition. and gtp for grand touring/turismo performace?

i like that reason better but at n-body.net they say its officially because of the V6 engine. so who knows.
