you can get APC superwhites from canadian tire or partsource for about 60 bucks, the amber turn signals are about 10 dollars a pair for superwhite, and blazers from canadian tire or partsource are over 100 dollars. They don't make a superwhite bulb for our foglights so you'll have to buy the entire blazertech set

Whatever you do, dont buy the APC bulbs in super white, because they blow ass, and arent worth it. I spent like 20 bucks on 194's, the tiny turn signal bulbs, and they are still yellow. they kind of have a green color, to them, and they dont even come on. they kinda look like they arent getting enough power, like they are just barely lighting up. Dont ever buy APC bulbs. ever. im not really sure what ones to get here in wpg, if anyone knows, id like to know. the brand, color, price, and where you got em. i want a white look.

If you want the BMW lights (they're called HID for Hgh Intensity Discharge) you'll need to buy a conversion kit. Search the forum for "hid", I know there's someone setting up a group buy.

That is what any aftermarket superwhite bulbs are going to look like. They only way you will get what you are looking for is a true High Intensity Discharge conversion

SORRY jag, NOT true... there are good brands out there besides buying actual HIDS.. PIAA, silvania(sp?) and Farenheits are amnog the more popular chosen by people on this board.
u dont need hid to be white :D

thanks Magilla, and Jagey there are bulbs available in true white, that arent hids. im talking about indicators, and the like. im going to get farenheits for my GA, and Stang. I dont want those on the Type S, im trying to get a hid kit for it. i want hids on my bike, but i dont think its possible. my bike is my pride and joy, and everyone will see me on sundays. im going to try to get a few buddies to drive my stang and GA to the get togethers we have, and ill ride my bike. maybe if i get close with some of you, someone could drive one of em. i figure if you have it share it. thats why my buddie is driving the RSX now.

I had one of my old lamps side by side next to my HIDs.. there is absolutely no similarity or comparison. Halogens are not even close nor will they ever be close to the intensity / color of HIDs.

Yeah you dont need HIDs to be white but if you are trying to substitute cheapo bulbs for HIDs your nutz. You can tell me all day long that you can find some halogen bulbs that look exactly like HID's and ill laugh at you because theres no way to duplicate the power and color of HID's into a filament bulb. I can tell true HID's from a mile away they just have that awesome hue to them something that regular filament bulbs dont have.

But anyways if you want your lights to look like BMW lights they use a HID system, not sure on the exact color temperature but the bulbs they are pointing out whether PIAA, farenheit, etc, WILL NOT look like the bmw HID lights. PIAA, Farenheits, and sylvania's are alright, the rest of the bulbs are just ricey blue poor azz attempts at simulating hid bulbs.

i had FARENHEIT in my car...let me just tell you...they aren't all that great. It was in there for couple of month and then my wire harness burned out on one side. The bulbs were still ok, so i sold em to some dude here on this boards. I wouldn't get em. i tried so many lights and came to a conclusion...i am gonna save up for HID conversino kit

if the harness burns out how much does it cost to fix that problem......... i am canadian so if you know the price in poor old canadian money that would be great.and if they burn out i guess i have to go to the dealership to have them fixed or replaced.

ramair - if u do get the 80/100W bulbs, eventually your harness will go. you can buy them for 45$ US, (70CDN) and do it yourself if need be.. otherwise if u get dealer to do it, prepare to pay for labour fees

well my connector part on the driver side melted, right by one of the prongs. but here is the good part, i pulled that bulb out and put the stocker back in, and it made contact still and works great.
