Ok, this isnt like an all the time thing, but my odometer will sometimes show a bunch of random lines instead of my milage/trip milage. Its been that way for a little over a month and its becomming a little annoying when i fill up and cant rest the trip because i cant see it. Does anyone else have this problem/ has it been talked about before?

i tried to expel satan from my dash many a time by slamming my fist onto it right over the spot of satan, but to no avail. it seems to be possessed by a power much greater than any man.*squints eyes*

Have a mechanic ride along with you wherever you go. Most possesed cars will not show any symtoms when the mechanics there. This is so you appear crazy.

mine has shown all 88888s but it updated when I went a mile, I have no idea what caused it.

For some reason in the winter my odometer does that exact same thing. It goes back to normal after the car warms up. I wont have to deal with it this winter, its getting stored, well its already stored technically.

Mine has done something similar. Sometimes i will see the trip light flickering on and off even though I'm not on the trip meter. I flick it with my finger and it stops flickering and stays off. One time, my odometer went all 8's but I flicked it again with my finger a couple of times and it went back to normal.
I was thinking that maybe I had a light shorting out or something?????

i still say to hire an exorcist. does your car ever spew green liquid from time to time when it is acting posessed?

ok, i know this thread is uber old and dead, but this is really getting annoying now. it doesnt show the milage at all anymore and i would rather not get raped in the wallet by a dealer. anyone have any ideas? i think it might be a bad solder, but i dont want to take apart everything only to find out its not. thanks in advance.

I went out to my car to start her up after our first snow storm (garage stored) and i started her up and the odometer is all phucked up again. Once the car warms up its back to normal again. First it showed 6 7 and the after it warmed up to about 150 it went to all 8's and then once it got to 200 it was back to normal. Damndest thing i ever seen. Did it last year to, it annoyed me more then becuase i was actually driving it in the winter.

Thats a little worse than mine. Mine is directly affected by the cold. Its garaged, on jack stands and no moisture. Its so wierd.
