*welcome* Whats going on everyone! I am currently in the process of purchasing a body kit for my car. But i am stuck on what i should choose! I limited it down to 2 kits. The SC/T kit from PFYC.Com or the Rk sports kit (www.rksports.com). I know this topic has been debated on this forum before but i want to know what you guys think would flow better with my car. I have a black 01 GA GT which can be seen here
http://www.rankmyride.com/?page=cars/view&CID=7642. Also i am planing on showing this car. Thanks for all the input in advance!

I think the RKSport kit is the better choice for a show car. I would have it on my car but I use the car as a daily driver. It would never last with the holes, hills and snow.

I was going to say the SC/T, but after looking at your RMR site, I'd have to say that the RK Sport kit would work better with what you've already done.

It looks good with the 19's on there. Usually not a fan of 19's either...nice job...RK BTW

the RK kit kinda sticks out a bit much in the front. with that said, for a show car, the RK kit will get you more attention. the SCT kit is too subtle for a REAL show car, more of a cruise night kinda kit.

definitely the rk kit, o, and you need to slam that car down asap. riding way too high for those wheels.

Despite the ugly front end, the RK will probably win more shows for you. What is the middle vent covered for?

Thanks for all the input so far.. I think i am leaning on the RK sports side after all the feed back you fellas left. Raze the fabric that covers the center vent is speaker grill fabric. I have a 3 1/2 diamond audio center channel in the vents place. It's a perfect spot for a speaker or a gauge.

I would go with the rksport kit . But i might be a little bias .

Plus the rk-sport kit flows well with the car's body lines . the SC/T is pretty cool as well .

Hmm for show the RKsport kit... and yeah, it does flow pretty good with the lines of the car.

The RK Sport kit looks like $#!T 'IMO'
If I were you, I would get the SC/T out of the two choices.

If you added more, obviously you know where my vote would be.

With what your doin, I'd say the RK kit. But, here's two things I would do. That speaker grille in the middle of the dash, kill it. Try to mount one of the vents onto it, that would look cool. And the door panels... Your going to re-wrap the whole panel so they look flush, right?

Ya i plan to do everything you stated rick. You pretty much read my mind i just don't know how i am going to put the surrounding of the vent on the speaker.

Post a pic of that center speaker without the mesh on it... I'm thinking if you set it back another 1/2", you should be able to fit the ring in. Those round ball vents actually split in two... maybe you could glue it to the speaker?

It's just that the speaker it's self is 3 1/2 inchs and the hole is damn near that same size. I don't have enough room to push the speaker back much further i would have to hack at the dash. I will have to put some thought into making a custom setup.

Well, I spent the day putting LED's in my vents.. I think you may be able to shave a little bit off where the ring sits in the dash... And, if you do need to cut a little out of the air ducts, it's pretty pliable stuff so it won't be hard. Just tryin to give you some suggestions on not making it so obvious that it's a speaker there, I think it would look hella better. I have 3 1/2's in my T/A, if I get the chance I'll pull one out and give it a shot this week, see whatelse I can come up with.

honestly...for the center speaker, thats not a very good location. i had mine mounted in that pocket under the a/c controls, aimed up with an angle. you could also put the speaker into your defroster vent, sunk down, nobody would know its there.

i wanna see it after the door panels are all done.

Thanks for the input car audio dave. I have yet to truly test the center channel because i don't have my five point one proccessor hooked up yet. But as for pics they will soon be up.

Is that wire coming our of the defroster vent for a radar detector? If so run it along the headliner, down the a-pillar and into the fuse box for a wire free dash. Back on topic: go with the RK kit.

Ya my installer at work has been telling me to do that. I didn't wanna do it bcz i always have my music up so i don't hear it when it goes off. But i think that i am gonna have to give it a try and see if i like it better
