With all these hurricanes hitting the gulf and east coast would you guys want to live there? I know every state has their own things ie: Midwest has tornadoes, southeast has hurricanes, west coast has earthquakes.

I'd rather live with earthquakes than any of that other ****. If we get an earthquake it's a surprise and lasts for less than a minute. You don’t have to have all this anxiety before it hits. Take away Cali’s communist government and it’s not that bad of a place to live. What's your opinion?

Lol that's why I said take away the communist government we have a place. Easy solution is sinking San Francisco into the pacific.

Yea you have a point. I plan on moving to Nevada after I finish college due to the fact that I probably wont be able to buy a house.

No state income tax. Cheaper to operate a business. Housing isn't insane. Weather isn't that bad either out by Reno. I'll have to get used to light snowfall but oh well. The only thing it really lacks is the beach, but if I'm in Reno there's a couple lake within an hour including Tahoe. Can you think of a better place?

or you could just live in PA and not have to deal with anything except for the occassional snowstorm

Thanks, but I'll pass on the snowstorms (I'm from Indiana). Cost of living is too high in California. My husband and I own a house here and it's insane. I hear there are parts of Wyoming that are pretty nice, weather-wise. And the cost of living is low... but you're in the middle of freaking nowhere. Utah is nice too. One day I am going to capitalize on the fact that I have $200k+ worth of equity already in my home, sell it to some sucker for $600k+ and buy a house somewhere else and retire.

i agree that cali sucks because of cost of living...but honestly, i like what arnold is doing (or trying to do at least). anyone who doesnt live hear dont know exactly what is going on with him, and thus shouldnt speak about him.

on the flip side...im looking ot move to chicago area when i graduate in a year (I get married a week after graduation).

Arnold is trying to do some good but his hands are tied. Anytime he wants to do something there is red tape. Have you guys seen the commercials from the unions that are against Arnold? They're the biggest propaganda bs I've heard. All they say is Arnold is trying hurt x and y but they don't explain themselves. Hell if we can't afford a program, cut it. Plain and simple. The only government program I can say I used that was subsidized was junior college. I don't believe it needed to subsidize, but people were still bitching that a $28 a unit investment for their future was too expensive. Now at UCD I'm paying $2k plus change a quarter, which I do not think is overpriced. Any idiot can work during the summer and have enough saved for one year of schooling on the UC level. The only thing they could probably bitch about is housing, which goes back to CA's cost of living.

I think what Arnold wants to do to Cali's schooling system is great (teachers get paid based on improvement of students and their scores). It makes the teachers accountable and gives them a motive to do better.

Back on topic, I guess PA wouldn’t be too bad. Isn’t it humid though?

lol...ya it may be a bit humid sometimes....but I doubt anymore than cali. And I think I would take humidity over hurricanes, tornados, and earthquakes.

It's usually dry heat in the Bay Area. Never really humid.

Yeah I go up to visit reletives in Michigan and Canada, and I don't know how they can live like that with that humidity. If I lived in that I don't think I would ever go outside. AC 24 hours a day lol. I guess you just get used to the feeling like you need to take a shower the second you step outside.

I can't stand humidity either Luke. When you start sweating by just going outside you know there's something wrong.

I lived in Indanapolis for 19 years.... the humidy is awful and the snow storms suck... as do the tornados.
