I would like peoples advice on the car ? hey its got a 6 speed manual:thumbs:

question... how is it that it weighs about 1000 pounds less than the grand am, has more HP, more Torque, but has about the same quarter mile and 0-60 as our car???
EDIT: my bad... misread the torque

They overrate horsepower (it is less than 181) and torque speaks a lot for grand ams. To me the car looks ok, but I still think I like the GAGT and sound of the GAGT better. Hyundai has come a long way, but you can still feel their mistakes when you step into the interior. Leather seats feel like they are made of vinyl over cardboard over a cement core. They are not comfortable. And it seems like the GAGT has more room inside from my experience. I think the 6 speed, warranty, and price is what makes the Tiburon GT a better value, but I wouldn't change from a GAGT to one unless I had a lot of problems with the GAGT.

To Small!:nono: Only a V8 would make me drive something that small. I don't think a car has to be tiny to be sporty. I won't go any smaller than my GA. Infact, my next car has to be bigger.

That car is really sweet yes it is. But that car is not all its cut out to be. It is a bang for the buck but......... That car is running the same exact i mean same exact numbers my Stock Grand Am GT is. Now wuts up wit that? I thought it was supposed to be a rocket? Its no way in hell i'd step outta my comfartable roomy GA into something alot smaller and it runs the same numbers my car is running now while its stock.( Except for the CAI)

If it came wit that from the factory then it would be sweet. But you can put a SC on a GA too so its nothing really exciting.

It may become a dealer installed option, as it stands it will not void your warranty. So... little more exciting than buying a $4000 SC for a GAGT and then turning your trans into powder.

Yeah true. but wit that as a dealer option wont that jack the price up to over 20k? Remember if its a dealer installed option its gonna cost ya:thumbs: either way would still be cheaper than the SC for the ga and stuff.

NO it is not faster I have very very good knowledge on this (if you know what I mean;)and just becuse the trans is the same has nothing to do with anything because they all have different gear ratio's. There is only like four companys that make ALL transmissions in every make and model. My 96 328i had a gm trans go figure???

I have experinece on this as well, I will conclude then it is a drivers race, but I'd rather have more torque with the V6.
You mentioned the SpecV had a six speed it looked as if you were implying that the Tiburon didn't as you said "the SpecV is faster and has a 6-speed", just wanted to point out the Tiburon had a 6-speed as well, the same one.

I was not saying that the tibby didn't have a six speed. I really think though that they aren't that fast I mean the few I have ran across weren't even close and I'm not the best driver and besides your probably one of those guys who don't like four bangers;) anyway I do like the styling though:)
May be your right but, from what I have seen and heard it seems like the spec has it.

LOL! ain't no thang but a chickin' wang.
I am a V8 RWD hand full of gears type of person deep down. For cars I should have been this age in around 1970 or so.. I'd have a new Olds 442 or Buick GSX 455.
