ok guys my car just hit the 60k mark and im thinkin its time to do some kind of a tune up. Recently my car has been having trouble through the rpms. it seems its been sluggish and when i let off on the gas, the rpms will go down, stop, go down, stop and go down untill i stop or accelerate again. also its been shifting wierd. hopefully if my tranny is going, it is covered under my warrenty. But dose anyone have ny suggestions on what could be going on and what might be needed fixing. i was thinking it could me misfireing? but wouldnt that throw a code? one last thing is my car has trouble on warm starts. i have searched and consulted other members and this is my last resort. so far im planning on replacing my....

-plugs
-wires
-coolent flush
-oil change

- any suggestions?

thanks
mike

I'd get the stock AC/Delco wires and the shifting problem with your transmission is a common one and it doen't seem to be fixable without tearing into the transmission. I just live with it.

I actually put Accel wires on my GA before and they seemed fine. A copper wire is a copper wire, just depends on the resistance (least is best) and how thick the insulation is to keep out interference

u have to insert the metal parts into the 90* boots...freaking tons of grease and pushing, after 12, ur thumbs are in pain from being bent backwards...

its great

Clean the throttle body.

Flush clean the fuel injectors through the fuel rail.

Change air filter & PCV Valve.

Check strength/condition of car battery & alternator.

bosch spark plugs are comman for misfires. i wouldnt trust thier wires either. i have msd 8.5mm on mine with ngk irdium plugs. all works fine. and taylor has all kinds of wire colors.
my car too has trouble on warm starts. it some times cranks and i dont think its going to start but it always does. i have tried everything and it still does it. i have no clue, but i am not too worried about it.
good luck man
