I recently removed the insulator from under my hood.., and I am worried that the paint may discolor or bubble over time without the insulator..? I'm running a fenderwell cai and have the ram air blowing straight into the engine bay. I only did this because of the fact that the engine is louder without the insulator(or maybe its just me). Is my paint at risk? I'm getting a new thermostat (from pfyc) just waiting on delivery.

Paint should be fine. I have had stock hood and SCT hood without the pad and they have been fine.

It's car paint. Not engine paint. Besides, if the hood gets anywhere near 200 degree's, somethings not right and I'd be worrying a bout my car blowing up.
