I need to get a new battery for my car and am looking at the Optima Redtop. Sears doesn't have one the "fits" in my car so can someone give me the CCA and other Specs so can I go get one. Also does the anti-corrision stuff work to prevent corrision on the terminal?

optima doesnt make a battery that fits in our cars.. you have to cut the tray to make it fit

Optima RedTop size 75/25 spec sheet (http://www.optimabatteries.com/publish/optima/americas0/en/config/product_info/automotive/starter/spec_sheets.RowPar.0001.ContentPar.0001.ColumnPar. 0006.File.tmp/75_25_082304.pdf)

Our stock battery size is BCI 75.

Yes, the Optima RedTop 75 fits our car;at least in my '99 GASE2.
(I have bought 2 of them so far in the older model 75/35. The 1st one my dad wanted mine to replace his dead battery, so I bought another new one.)

If you get the 74/38 size Optima RedTop, you will need to modify your battery tray for the bigger battery size.

If you clean the corrision off of the battery terminals, when using an Optima RedTop battery: it doesn't come back.

No big deal. The bigger one requires a simple task. I found some old pics I took from my Red Car. Remove the three screws, pull out the tray and cut the side towards the front end. Careful not to cut it off or the Optima will slide back and fourth. Only cut it where it will fold down slightly. The Optima's are now being stocked with GM and Ford replacement clamps,so look for one that has it.

The Optima is a dry cell,So clean the terminals once and never worry again.
