i just got a black 2gb ipod nano from the gf for xmas im looking to put it int the car, but from what ive read they fm transmiters are trash. i did s search and didnt come up with much i have an 02 with the monsoon system and wanted to know if the ipod pac switch on pfyc.com would work and if anyone has had any experience with it. i am planing on changing to a aftermarket head unit but not sure which one yet im kinda waiting for the 06 models to come out incase they make any changes. i also am wondering where you guys mount them personally i am thinking if i hard wire it i will get a spare center counsle lid and cut into it and make a flush mount for it. any help would be great and if u guys have mounted them if u have some pics i would appreciate it.
thanks

Personally I would wait until you get an aftermarket unit so you don't end up buying accessories for your monsoon system that won't be compatible with the aftermarket hu. I have a Pioneer DEH-7600MP HU. i hooked my ipod to it with the cd-rb10 cable which is a cable that goes to the aux input on the hu. then i bought a stereo cable for the ipod and hooked that to the cd-rb10. Total cost: $45 Total Time: 30 min

Ya it's alot better just to buy an aftermarket stereo with and AUX input. Then all you need is a 3.5mm to RCA cable. Some HU's depending on the brand may need another adapter. For example my Alpine, I needed to buy a 3.5mm to RCA and an RCA to Ai-net cable. You can get a cheap HU and all the cables needed for about the price they want for some of those Ipod adapters.
As for mounting, check you local electronics store for any car mounting kits they might have, I've got one of the cupholder ones mounted in kind of a unique place, I'll post pics later today.

Why would you spend $190 on that thing from PFYC...why would anyone spend that much a f'en ipod almost costs that much and you can get a decent aftermarket HU with aux input for a little more than that. Just wait dont waste your money use the FM transmitter for now sound quality isnt too bad
