No Rear Defogger

For some reason my rear defogger is not working. The light comes on when I push the button but the window does not defrost at all. It's almost like there is power to the switch but nothing between it and the window. Has anybody else ever had this problem or know how to fix it?

i could be wrong, but isn't there two plug like things on your rear window that are used for the defroster...maybe they are plugged all the way in


or maybe they came off the window

I looked back there briefly and they seemed to be plugged in. There is no reason they would be unplugged but maybe I could check to make sure they are tight.

also make sure that they're actually making contact with the metal pieces on the window. If this is the case, they sell kits at auto parts stores to fix for about $5.

If just one of the elements got broken the entire thing won't work, I'd check to see they didn't get scratched.

The defroster module or harness to the module is shot. remove the passenger side sail panel (back window) follow defroster wires to it.The part is about $80.00 or so from the dealer.
