Spring Meet

Ok, try try again i guess...
the January 27th meet was killed because of poor planning and almost no input, so Brandon and I took it upon ourselves to have actual plans and set something up for a possible meet in the springtime. Regardless of who says theyre gonna come and then not show, were going to it because it will be fun no matter how many people show, although the more the merrier is always the case in an N-body meet. We looked through some local tracks and found one that has an occasional saturday test n tune deal, like $10 to get in, and we also found a place in clearwater that has Dyno testing, 2 pulls for $40. So heres the plan, we meet up either in tampa or over in clearwater and get the cars dyno'ed, the place closes around 3 on saturdays so well have to be there early. We can eat there either for lunch before we dyno or after as an early dinner, then head over to bradenton to race and show the cars or w/e. We can have more plans as we get closer to the dates. We have 2 dates we found that are acceptible, and since they are saturdays we figured wed have a better turnout. The drive from the dyno place to the track is only about an hour so we can have a good cruise there as well so wed get a nice convoy going.
The two dates are Saturday, March 4th and Saturday, April 29th.

Dont forget to vote on the date, as we will choose the one with more people to start planning and getting things set-up.
Please make this meet count, it would be really cool if we could get a bunch of us together to do what we like best. Post up any other ideas/info in this thread.

I vote March, since that is the beginning of my spring break, if I can go, I'd probably just go to the track...that's a great price for the dyno, but I don't need to dyno to find out my ld9's hp is pathetic lol

****, the track is closed for maintenance now from the 26th of feb to the 4th of march for repairs. they must have recently added it. this makes things more difficult. well have to discuss but it seems that the 29th of april is our only alternative, not to mention other people could make it as well. post up your info and comments. they should schedule track repairs some months in advance, not within 2 weeks. sorry guys, 29th works for me tho. let me know.

Nope, not yet, his insurance company is dragging their feet and it's taking forever, I'm hoping just to get a check, if that's the case I'm gonna go out of pocket and get the SD hood, SC/T kit, 2 post mirrors, and a black with 2 silver stripes paint job.

I was talking to PYRO and I suggested that we could bring some Motorola two way radios and that way we can all communicate if we decided to cruise around.

scrapped the meet, im not gonna have carlos drive up here to have a 3 car meet. I will not plan another meet, im done. Too much planning has gone into there last meets to have everyone drop like flies. Maybe a summer meet will be better for people to attend, but im done planning meets only to have everyone drop out.

If you guys still want to meet I can meet for a couple of hours and see what you guys have done to your cars. I made plans to go to bush gardens with my girl. She will freak out if we don't go and I spend my day with my car.

I think Im taking my car. I tow my car to my friends shop and is just one the coils that is not firing right. Tomorrow I have to get the MSD Coil and replace it and I should be fine.

Also, to any Orlando people, the car club I'm in is starting a weekly hang out in the downtown Orlando area, we're still working on details as far as location goes and everything, but anyone in the Orlando area is welcome to come out and I'll post more info as soon as I have it.
