sorry if this a repost but nothing came up in my search. I am thinking about getting one of these 2 cars used 99+generation. Is the GLS alero really limited to 105mph? And is the supposed "sport suspension" on the Alero the same as the GAGT? Thanks for you help guys. Hopefully I can find a GAGT or a GPGTP because that is what I really want...not an Alero.

The Ram Air on the GA GT is useless. We all know that. GA GT has better gear ratio.
Basically, V6 Alero is equivalent to V6 GA SE.
I'm pretty sure the max any alero can go is 108ish without a reprogramming. Its not fun to take an alero to those speeds anyways, unless you some mods.

99+ gagt's on the other hand top out at 127mph, not that you or we will ever need to....
I never knew how unstable my car was at those speeds until I rode in a REAL car at 120+

Better is a subjective term.
GAGT has a lower final drive ratio. Faster acceleration but slightly worse gas mileage.
I think the Aleroa was rated with slightly lower hp than the GT, by maybe 5 hp. Real world dyno tests probably wouldn't show a significant difference. Chances are that the hp ratings had more to do with marketing than anything else.
Edit: I guess the EPA rates the GT and the Areola exactly the same for mileage at 20/32 mpg despite the difference in ratios.
