Not a lot of people have done this. The ones who have, I haven't heard how they went about doing it, but I do know that although the seats are universal no one makes brackets for our car, so anyone who's done it had to do some kind of custom mounting. Maybe they adapted the stock brackets to the seats, or used the universal brackets and adapted them to the car. Either way it probably involves some cutting, drilling, and bolting, and possibly even welding required. I'll be doing this myself one day so I'll probably do a write up on it then. Just gotta wait until I have money for the seats... I'm not buying some $200 APC crap! Sparco Torino's all the way baby! :D

that write up was good for some cars, but useful for our cars.
1) our front seats are held in by only two bolts, both in back. you undo them, then slide the seat back, recline it, and you have to lift to undo the front hooks.
2) it gives no info on how to make custom brackets. for that, you make a template of how the universal brackets bolts up to the new seat, and a template of how the stock bracket mounts to the car. you can then see if you can modify the stock bracket to fit the new seat.
i personally to take measurements of my stock mounting points of my seat and find a seat thats either the same or really close. i like to make the job really easy if possible.

Its not completely impossible at all, GM Designed our seats horribly. I had to use 400Ft/lbs of torque with an air compressor to get the front notches in and keep the rear bolts down tight. Anyhow......All you have to do is buy some 4 point mounting brackets 2 bolts for front 2 for rear, make sure the brakcet fits the seat and the area on the floor, and just drill all 4 bolts into the floorboard....not too hard if ya ask me.

You can't just drill four bolts into the floor boards though... not if you don't want to go flying thru the windshield in an accident at least. The stock mounting points are in reinforced area's of the floor, with multiple sheets of metal welded together. This is so that if there's a major force applied to the seat (like a 300lb passenger suddenly stopping from 45mph if you hit something) they won't rip out of the metal. If you are changing the mounting points to a different location, those points need to be properly reinforced, and if you are drilling thru the floor you also need to give thought to coating the metal to prevent rust as well as sealing the holes to keep water out of your interior. ;)
