A while back my Service Engine Soon light came on, I plugged in my scanner and is shows code 0131 [02 Sensor Circuit Low Voltage (Bank 1 Sensor 1)].

I took the 02 Sensor out made sure the terminals were clean, bought a new Bosch 02 Sensor, installed the new one and put some di-electric grease on the terminals as well. I erased the trouble code, but then after the car went through its learning cycle (or whatever you call it- drive cycle?).

Then the code came back and has been on ever since. I looked up info on the GM eSI Service CD's I have and it had alot of different things to check, many of which I dont have the equipment to check myself.

Anyone had this problem or have any ideas where to start?

Any help would be great, Thanks!

There are two (2) O2 Sensors. Perhaps you missed the second?

I replaced the correct one. The one right at the end of the manifold (called upstream I think). Its the important one (to me anyway). As far as I know the downstream one just checks if the converter is doing its job, the upstream one (one I replaced) is the one whos reading are responsible for adjusting the mixture of whatever.

your right that its called upstream. But there both pretty important in determining AF mixture. you might have just gotten a bad new 02 sensor (Ive seen that happen before). Maybe just try another one, and if its not that then you gotta start diggin deeper.

Well that sucks, because that damn thing cost like $60.xx if I remember correctly.
